25th IAHR-APD Congress draws 706 participants to Incheon
“Hydro-environments in the Era of Climate Change and AI” was held 19–22 July at Songdo Convensia, with 587 presentations across 42 sessions.
The 25th Congress of the Asian and Pacific Division was held from 19 to 22 July 2026 at Songdo Convensia in Incheon, Republic of Korea, returning the APD Congress to Korea after fourteen years. It was hosted by the Korea Water Resources Association and organised by a Local Organising Committee of about one hundred local experts, chaired by Prof. Sung-Uk Choi.
The Congress drew 706 participants from 22 countries and delivered 587 presentations — 242 oral and 345 poster — across 42 sessions, including 13 special sessions, five keynote and invited lectures and one High-Level Panel, alongside 27 exhibition booths and 28 sponsors.
Side events included two Master Classes, two Young Professionals Network events and the IAHR and IAHR-APD Council meetings. A technical tour visited the Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station.
The proceedings are to be published by Springer, with a special issue of the Journal of Hydro-environment Research for selected papers.
