Hohai University to host the 27th IAHR-APD Congress in Nanjing, 2030
The Executive Committee approved the sole bid, for 14–18 July 2030 at the Xikang Road Campus under the theme “Water Intelligence and Resilience for a Shared Asia-Pacific Future”.
Hohai University presented the sole bid to host the 27th IAHR-APD Congress in Nanjing, China, introduced by Prof. Ran Qihua, and the bid was approved by the Executive Committee meeting in Incheon on 22 July 2026.
The Congress is proposed for 14–18 July 2030 at the Xikang Road Campus under the theme “Water Intelligence and Resilience for a Shared Asia-Pacific Future”, with a base plan of about 850 delegates, a main auditorium and eight parallel rooms, eight scientific tracks, and technical tours to the Liyang pumped-storage station and the Xin'anjiang (Qiandao Lake) reservoir.
Hohai University, founded in 1915, is ranked first worldwide in Water Resources Engineering in the Shanghai Ranking and maintains five national-level research platforms.
