Prof. Yasuyuki Shimizu (Hokkaido University, Japan) is recognised for his contributions to computational river morphodynamics — the numerical modelling of sediment transport, bank erosion, braided-river dynamics and vegetation–flow interaction — and for his central role in the iRIC river-simulation platform, adopted internationally as an open-source tool for river analysis.
Prof. Adrian Law Wing Keung (National University of Singapore) is recognised for his work in environmental and coastal hydraulics and for sustained service to the international water community, including as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hydro-environment Research and as chair of the joint IAHR/IWA Committee on Marine Outfall Systems.
